My Bookmarks

I have too many bookmarks (or “favorites” for those of you stuck using Internet Explorer) in too many places organized in too many different ways. This is my attempt at unifying that mess.

For those of you about to tell me about your favorite way of synchronizing and organizing bookmarks… I realize there are tools that claim to synchronize your bookmarks, and websites for collecting and organizing your bookmarks. None of them are perfect (for me), and neither is storing them here; but, I had to do something.

I have been using Google Bookmarks for at least a year, and have the Google Toolbar installed in my browsers. However, Google Bookmark’s flat tagging system causes the Toolbar Bookmarks menu to be very unwieldy with more than a few dozen bookmarks, and that Toolbar menu has very sketchy behaviour on Linux; so, I'm giving up on it and very slowly moving all those bookmarks to these pages.
